Sony DR-BT160AS - No track skip? ...

Hi all-

I picked up the Sony DR-BT160AS headphones for my iPhone 3GS and they work great; I've already run one 1/2 marathon in them and even took a phone call during the race.

The only issue is track skip/back; the volume part of the joystick works, when going up and down, but the track forward/back part does not seem to do anything; the iPhone doesn't seem to even recognize what I did.

Does anyone know if there's a setting or some additional configuration necessary to enable this? During a run it's obviously a lot easier to get at the back of the headphones than it is to deal with the whole touch-interface of the iPhone.
